The Pipe Band in contests and international events

The Paris & District Pipe Band regularly takes part in national and international competitive events.
Competition stimulates the band and provides valuable feedback on its skills and musicianship. These events take place all over the world, throughout and allow pipe bands to meet. The most important event is the World Championship held in August in Glasgow. A few pictures of contests...

Prize won

8 September 2007 - 1st prize in grade IV, and equal third in grade III, at the Belgium Championship in Alden Biesen.
26 August 2006 - 6th place out of 20 in grade IV A at the Cowal Highland Gathering (Scotland).
14 May 2006 - 1st prize in grade B at the "Trophée Ronsed Mor" (Lokoal Mendon - France).
2 April 2006 - 1st prize in the Tartan Day (Paris).
2005 - 3rd prize, grade IV, Belgium Championship.
2005 - Tartan Day, open : first prize.
2004 - 3rd prize, grade IV, Belgium Championship.
2002 - 3rd prize in grade A at the "Trophée Ronsed Mor".
2001 - 2nd prize in grade B and 5th in grade A at the "Trophée Ronsed Mor".
2000 - First time competing in Lokoal, the P&DPB awarded first prize in grade B.
1999 - First prize in the Highland Games, Perth, grade IV.
1997 - 9th place in grade IV, World Championship in Glasgow.
1997 - 2nd prize in grade IV, Perth and Crieff Highland games.
1993 - 7th place in grade III, British championship in London.
1990 - First attending in a Pipe Band contest, the P&DPB awarded first prize in the Belgium Championship, grade IV.
